At McEldrew Purtell, Cormick is dedicated to seeking justice and standing up for people. His dedication to representing personal injuries is not a coincidence. He chose to leave a successful career as a real estate project manager for a law career after watching his own family navigate the complex legal system, while suffering from a personal injury that deserved compensation. Sitting on the sidelines while his family languished ignited a desire in him to attend law school. At Temple University - Beasley School of Law, he received the mentorship and training necessary to become a guiding light and advocate, so that those suffering from personal injury have an experienced, and passionate lawyer fighting for them.
Cormick joined McEldrew Purtell as a second-year law student. He gained first-hand experience through assisting with cases involving catastrophic injuries, medical malpractice, railroad injuries, civil rights violations, and other personal injury cases. Prior to joining McEldrew Purtell he worked for the Honorable Timika Lane in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.
Cormick received his undergraduate degree from Villanova University and his Juris Doctor from Temple University - Beasley School of Law. While in law school, Cormick was a member of Temple’s renowned National Trial Team, competing against other law schools around the country to hone the craft of trial law. As a result of his success in mock trial competitions and other trial advocacy pursuits at Temple Law, Cormick was awarded the Edward Ohlbaum Scholarship for the 2022-2023 academic year and The Victor S. Jaczun Award for excellence in trial advocacy.
Cormick lives in Fishtown. In his free time you can find him riding his bike, cheering on Philly sports teams, or enjoying some live music.
